During Summit, Europeans and Koreans discuss relations with North Korea and their own economic cooperation

Brussels, 15/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - After the ASEM Summit on Saturday 9 October, a bilateral summit was held between the EU and South Korea. In Hanoi, Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, Dutch Foreign Minister Bernard Bot, and Commission President Romano Prodi met the Korean President, Roh Moo-hyun. Both sides confirmed their intention to work toward peace and lasting stability in the Korean peninsula and looked at ways to develop economic cooperation.
