Assembly proposes to extend European arrest warrant to 46 Council of Europe countries

Strasbourg, 08/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of the report by Russian Konstantin Kosachev, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe hopes to step up the fight against terrorism that it describes as a "crime against humanity". It urges for the creation of a common legal area in Europe and recommends that the 46 member nations of the Council of Europe should organise operational cooperation against terrorism between special services, the police force and justice...
