Brussels, 06/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the United States vetoed the draft United Nations resolution calling for an immediate halt to the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip. Europeans were divided over the issue with the United Kingdom, Germany and Romania abstaining, and France and Spain voting in favour of the resolution.
