Brussels, 01/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - He would have definitely preferred a portfolio directly linked to the economy but he met this twist of fortune with good faith on Friday, displaying to MEPs that he had the required qualities for being a good manager of European research. Janez Potocnik had been designated to carry on the "very rich heritage of Commissioner Busquin", which he recognised as much himself.
