German company BASF has sold off its ink printing business (2003 turnover of EUR 600 million with workforce of 2600) to British investment fund CVC PARTNERS for an estimated amount of between EUR 650-750. CVC will be merging the purchased subsidiary, BASF DRUCKSTEME with the Swedish company ANI PRINTINGS INK (2003 turnover EUR 231 million with workforce of 960), which also specialises in printing inks, which it acquired at the same time.
