EU brings in procedures for joint implementation of Member States' consulates in China

Brussels, 22/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The EU has just adopted joint guidelines on the implement of the protocol agreement concluded with the People's Republic of China (PRC), to facilitate the issuing of short-term visas for groups of Chinese citizens wishing to travel to EU territory (see EUROPE of 13 February). The Commission's recommendation, which appeared in the OJ of 21 September (2004/645/EC), provides for joint implementation procedures for Member States' consulates in PRC. These...
