Europeans and Americans want to work together - Annual summits of ministers- Liaison officers - Reassurances on passenger details

Brussels, 20/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European anti-Terrorism Coordinator, Gijs de Vries, returning from the Troika meeting in The Hague on Saturday between the EU and the US on cooperation to combat terrorism, said that despite their differences, pragmatic cooperation between the two sides was important and a good thing. The meting provided an occasion for both sides to publicly lay the emphasis on positive aspects of cooperation, rather than areas of disagreement.
