ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

BBVA, Spain' second biggest bank, is to acquire HN - HIPOTECARIA NACIONAL (USD 48 million net profit), Mexican's biggest mortgage lender, for USD 375 million. HN employs 950 people, has a portfolio of USD 2.15 bn and a 29% market share in Mexico, with 79 branches and more than 90,000 clients.
