- Belgian OMEGA PHARMA (turnover EUR 850 million foreseen for 2004) has carried out two acquisitions of a total of EUR 100 million (debt included). On one hand, it acquired 100% of the Swedish company, ACO HUD (dermatological and cosmetic products and pregnancy tests; a turnover of over EUR 30 million in 2003 with 56 employed). On the other, it took over the over-the-counter medicines business in Italy of MEDESTEA (turnover of EUR 21 million foreseen in 2004 with 55 employed).
