Prospect of lower unemployment rate should encourage governments to take other social objectives into account for developing employment strategy

Brussels, 05/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - The report from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on the employment situation gives certain guidelines in order to adjust the strategy of governments during periods of growth. It thus urges them to mainly ensure that employment levels are raised and workers' aspirations met when it comes to job security and reconciling professional and family life.
