Monday's meeting has marketing approval for GMO NK603, sugar reform and rural development on agenda

Brussels, 16.07.2004 (Agence Europe) - Agriculture ministers of the EU Member States are to take a stance on Monday in Brussels on marketing approval for foodstuffs based on the Monsanto-produced genetically modified maize NK 603. They are expected to act in response to the recent European Commission proposals on sugar reform and the new rural development policy for the period 2007-2013.
