Martin Schulz is elected PES leader

Brussels, 05/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - German Social Democrat Martin Schulz has been elected as the new leader of the Socialist Group at the European Parliament. He will thus succeed Enrique Baron from Spain. Aged 49, Mr Schulz has been MEP since 1994.
