High Level Group on textile and clothing makes recommendations on future of sector after abolition of WTO quota system

Brussels, 05/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The High Level Group on textile and clothing, which met on Wednesday last in Brussels to present broad guidelines to improve the competitiveness of the EU textiles and clothing industry in the context of the coming abolition of the WTO quota system on imports (see EUROPE of 30 June, p.13), concluded its work by adopting seven recommendations.
