Brussels, 17/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted 2 million EUR in humanitarian aid to Lethoso and Swaziland to support victims of drought, which has caused starvation in these two southern African countries, hard hit also by unemployment and the HIV/Aids pandemic (40% of the population). The funds, taken from the Echo budget, will pay for food and first aid products for some 100,000 people in danger.
