Brussels, 28/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission adopted its proposals on the preliminary draft budget for 2005, which, compared to 2004, provides an increase of 9.7 billion EUR in commitment appropriations, particularly for the integration of the ten new Member States (3.9 billion EUR), the impact of the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (1.3 billion EUR), and the improved use of the Structural Funds (2.7 billion EUR).
