Parliament calls for compliance with ILO standards

Strasbourg, 26/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of a resolution on Thursday after its emergency debate, the European Parliament invited sportswear companies to adopt sourcing policies that make it compulsory for suppliers and their sub-contractors to comply with internationally recognised labour standards, including all the human rights standards that ILO identified as being fundamental rights at work.
