Brussels, 23/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung will be organising on 29 April in Brussels, within the context of The New Atlantic Initiative, a round table on the theme of Trade War or Transatlantic Market Place? Participants include, Günter Rinsche, Franz-Josef Reuter and Peter Weilemann from the Foundation, MEPs Graham Watson and Paul Rübig, as well as Corrado Pirzio-Biroli, Head of Commissioner Fischler's cabinet, Matthew Baldwin, Deputy Head of cabinet for Commissioner Lamy, Thomas Jansen, Head of cabinet for the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Briesch.
Other participants include Christopher Padilla, from the US Bureau of the representatives for trade negotiations Zoellick, Thomas Enders from EADS, Scott Harris from Lockheed, Pascal Meunier from Thales, former SACEUR General Joe Ralston and General Rainer Schuwirth, (who will be discussing NATO's defence concept and US import controls), Robert Verrue, Director General at the European Commission (who will be speaking on taxation). During lunch, Otmar Issing, from the European Central Bank's Board of Governors, will be looking at "Euro vsUSDollar".
