Vote for censure on 4 May at 13H

Strasbourg, 22/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the Conference of President approved a preliminary draft agenda for the May plenary. Following the solemn opening of the first plenary session of the enlarged parliament on 3 May at 18H-19H, the EP is planning on 4 May at 10H-11H the commemoration of Jean Monnet and the 20 anniversary of the Spinelli draft treaty. The rest of the day will be focus on a debate on the future of the enlarged Union, with the first part (11H to 13H) focusing on the Constitution.
The vote for a censure motion on the European Commission will take place at 13H. On 5 May president Prodi will present the new members of the enlarged Commission (10H to midday
). This presentation will be followed by verification of the powers of new members of the EP; vote of confirmation of the new college; vote on the appointment of the ten new members of the Court of Auditors.
