Karl von Wogau is against EU role in Sudan

Brussels, 15/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The EU's security and defence policy is now to focus on the Balkans and its immediate neighbours, it is stated in a press release from CDU member Karl von Wogau, who commented on the declarations attributed by The Financial Times to General Hägglund, outgoing president of the European Union's Military Committee on the likelihood of the Union taking part in operations in Sudan (see EUROPE of 14 April, p.6, for handover of Military Committee presidency...
