Brussels, 26/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission adopted a communication by Commissioner Franz Fischler aimed at improving the monitoring of industrial fisheries (i.e. the fish meal industry) in the European Union. Fish species concerned are blue whiting, sandeel, Norway pout and sprat, products of which are sold for uses other than human consumption.
