Council establishes EU priorities for next UNCTAD (Sao Paolo, 13-19 June)

Brussels, 26/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The External Relations General Affairs Council on 23 February approved, without debate, the objectives and priorities of the enlarged European Union for the eleventh United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Sao Paulo (Brazil) 13-19 June.

The EU considers that UNCTAD should strengthen confidence in the multilateral trading system and increase the chances of successfully concluding the Doha Round for development in the WTO...
