Strasbourg, 12/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - European Employment Commissioner Anna Diamantopoulou, responding to requests by Italian MEPs, addressed MEPs in Strasbourg on Wednesday on the crisis facing the steel industry in Italy with the planned restructuring of AST Thyssenkrupp's plant in Terni, which would lead to the loss of 450 direct jobs and at least as many indirect jobs.
