Strasbourg, 13/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Adopting a resolution on Thursday about Iran, the European Parliament echoed the Iranian President and the majority of members of the Majlis in believing that the upcoming elections cannot be described as free and fair. It expressed respect and understanding for the resigning of 127 members of the Iranian Majlis following many of them being banned from standing in the 20 February 2004 elections.
