04/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On behalf of MEPs from the Lista Bonino, Marco Cappato MEP, has written to the Nobel Peace Prize selection committee to propose that the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 is awarded to the "venerable Thich Quang Do" who spent a significant period of his life in detention and who is now "detained by the police in his monastery, with being allowed to communicate with the outside world".
