Brussels, 23/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Lithuanian government has submitted its list of candidates for membership of the European Economic and Social Committee. These are: 1) Employers' Group: Ginatatras Morkis, Lithuanian Confederation of Industry; - Danas Arlauskas, Director General of the Confederation of Employers; - Arvydas Zygis, Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Craft; Linas Lasiauskas, deputy Director General of the Association of Clothing and the Textile Industry; 2) Workers' Group: Algirdas Kvedaravicius, vice president of the Confederation of Trade Unions; - Aldona Balsiene, President of the Trade Union Solidarumas; Robertas Mileris, vice president of the Federation of Employment; 3) Various Activities Group: Rolandas Domeika, Director of the Farmers' Union; Alvita Armanaviciene, President of the National Consumers' Federation. This list is subject to Council approval.
