Brussels, 15/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Next Tuesday's Ecofin Council will be the first chance under the presidency of Charley McCreevy to exchange views on the situation created by the Commission's going to the Court of Justice to oppose the decision of 25 November on the halting of procedures against France and Germany for excessive deficits (EUROPE yesterday p 8). After the different taking of positions, only Dutch minister Gerrit Zalm and Rodrigo Rato from Spain supported the Commission....
