Brussels, 07/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The aim of the European People's Party-European Democrats (EPP-ED) is to remain "by far" the main political group of the European Parliament after the European elections in June 2004 and, if such is the case, then it will be necessary for the president of the European Commission to be someone from that same political family.
