Inquiry into measures taken by Commission for integration of disabled persons

Brussels, 17/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Ombudsman, Nikiforos Diamandouros has announced that he has opened an own-initiative inquiry into measures taken by the European Commission to ensure that disabled persons are not discriminated against in their dealings with the Institution. In a press release, the Ombudsman says that he wishes to ensure that the Commission's actions are compatible with its legal obligations and the commitments it has made.
