Parliament appeals against directive on family regrouping

Strasbourg, 17/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has appealed to the European Court of Justice against the directive on family regrouping (EUROPE 4 December p 17 and 12 December p 13). President Cox sent a letter on Tuesday to the Court of Justice to seek an appeal, as expected. The legal and public freedoms committees had requested it pursue this course in order to obtain the cancellation of the provision in the directive that would allow EU Member States to carry out...
