Commission preparing to contact British Premier League Football Association

Brussels, 01/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is to inform the British Football Association Premier League (FAPL) very shortly of the results of its investigation into the sale of TV rights to Premier League football matches, listing its grievances, Commission spokesperson Amelia Torres has announced. The Commission is not satisified that despite arrangements made by the FAPL, the criteria for sale of TV rights are fair (the idea of selling them en bloc has bene dropped)....
