EP will be in Geneva on 1 December

Strasbourg, 20/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - Francis Wurtz, president of the United Left/Nordic Green Left group proposed on Thursday at the Conference of Presidents that the EP be represented by a pluralist delegation" at the signing ceremony for an Israeli-Palestinian plan, known as the "Geneva initiative" on 1 December in Geneva. The other presidents of the groups which expressed their view (EPP-ED, PES, ELDR, Greens-EFA) in agreement to be represented at this signing, indicated a GUE/NGL press statement. This group confirmed its proposal to invite Jossi Beilin and Yasser Abed Rabbo, the main instigators of this plan to the new plenary in Strasbourg.
