13/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - World Standards Day, 14 October, will focus on the role of standards for the information society, according to a European Commission press release, which says that it will also "clear the way for EU-US dialogue on ICT standards to be applied to the early exchange of information on technical problems which could lead to global solutions for the information society".
