Brussels, 13/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Agriculture Minister of the Member States of the EU decided in Luxembourg on Monday to delay, for the second time, their approval of Spanish aid of 67.6 million EUR to 60,000 of its shelled fruit producers. The Council failed to approve Spain's request because of Denmark, whose national parliament (Folketing) remains opposed at this stage to such a measure. The Council has three months to approve this national aid, which was presented in September.
