Council adopts regulations on CAP reform - Fruit and vegetable producers are displeased about decoupling

Brussels, 29/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the Council of Ministers adopted by qualified majority the seven regulations on reform of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) decided on 26 June in Luxembourg. Only Portugal voted against one of the texts on common market organisation in the milk sector, as a sign of protest against what is considered to be an insufficient increase in the milk quota for the Azores.
