06/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - Italy's farming minister, Gianni Alemanno, according to Wednesday's Corriere della Sera newspaper, has said that the fine of EUR 232 million for Italy exceeding its dairy quotas reported in Il Sole-24 Ore on Tuesday is a realistic figure. Alemanno said the fine covered the latest marketing year and the aim now was to avoid the same outcome next year.
