Sharon suggests European Union should provide Palestinians with social assistance

Brussels, 15/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - During a meeting in London on Monday with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suggested that the EU should create social services within the Palestinian territories, services that are identical to those set in place by Hamas, in order to counter the influence of the radical Islamic group.
