Commission shows it is sensitive to French concerns about some international accounting standards

Brussels, 15/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - During Tuesday's Ecofin Council in Brussels, France heightened the awareness of its partners and the European Commission to its concerns (coming originally from banking and insurance sectors) about certain accounting standards (IAS 32 and IAS 39) that must be adopted by the EU on 16 July within the IASB (International Accounting Standards Board).
