Brussels, 02/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - By deciding in the second reading on the two new regulations on GMOs (Trakatellis and Scheele reports: see EUROPE yesterday p 14) the European Parliament has given the green light to the introduction of a clear and comprehensive system for traceability and labelling of genetically modified organisms and strict rules on the marketing and labelling of foodstuffs and fodder that are derived from GMOs.
