Two MEPs join calls for investigation committee to be set up to look at the sinking of the Prestige

Brussels, 26/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Two Socialist MEPs, Bernard Poignant of France and Rosa Miguelez Ramos of Spain are calling for an investigation committee to be set up to establish responsibility for the sinking of the Prestige oil tanker. Bernard Poignant has sent a letter to Transport Commissioner Loyola de Palacio urging her to get the Spanish government to recover part of the tanker that broke off before the ship sank, with a view to analysing it to determine the condition of the...
