25/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - ÖVP MEP Othmar Karas and the UEAPME (a European SME association) have made a joint appeal to the next Intergovernmental Conference to extend qmv to taxation affecting the functioning of the internal market. Karas said that as long as unanimous voting prevails for tax policy, there will be problems with finalising the internal market.
