Greens call for parliamentary delegation to be sent to Guantanamo

Strasbourg, 15/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - As she had suggested during the plenary debate on extradition and judicial cooperation agreements (see EUROPE of 15 May, p.13), Monica Frassoni, co-president of the Greens/EFA Group, called, with co-president Daniel Cohn-Bendit, for a delegation of MEPs to be sent to the US military base of Guantanamo, in Cuba, where several EU citizens are still being detained.
