Finnish group NOKIA is to bolster its position in China by merging four of its joint ventures into one entity. This will be 60% owned by NOKIA, the remainder in the hands of its Chinese partners. NOKIA currently holds a 20% market share in China, versus 30% by its rival MOTOROLA, currently market leader with its 30% share.
