ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) oil

Hungarian company MOL has acquired the majority of the Slovak oil group SLOVNAFT by increasing its stake from 36.2% to 70.01%, at a cost of 360 million dollars. MOL's turnover was 4.7 billion euros in 2002, and has a refining capacity of 13.8 million tonnes of oil per annum, with a network of over 800 filling stations in central Europe.
