28/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - the Movement for the United States of Europe/European Left is, by taking a position on draft Articles 1-16 of the future European Constitution, presented by the European Convention Presidium, supporting the amendments on: the federal character of European construction; the objective of full employment of quality and access in the general interest services; an addition to Article 13 on the coordination of economic policies of "fiscal, social and employment policies"; the possibility of deciding by qualified majority voting for the Union to take action, if necessary, even in areas not covered by the treaty (flexibility clause).
