Brussels, 28/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Greek press agency ANA reports that Greenpeace is calling on the Greek Presidency of the Council of the EU to take initiatives to ensure the safety of workers sent to Asia to scrap ships.
In a statement, the environmental protection organisation cites the recent case of six workers killed and six other injured in India while dismantling the Amina oil tanker, owned by Greek shipowner Chandris.
