Kangaroo Club believes internal market should be exclusive competence of Union

Brussels, 21/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Kangaroo Club Chairman, MEP Karl von Wogau (CDU), has spoken out against the suggestion by the Praesidium of the European Convention that the internal market could be a shared EU/Member State competency (draft Article 12). The internal market should be "unambiguously" within the exclusive competencies of the Union, declares Mr von Wogau, noting: "it is hard to imagine a situation in which a Member State could unilaterally adopt internal market...
