European health insurance card to modernise social security systems in Europe, says Commission

Brussels, 21/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - On adoption by the Commission of a communication on the introduction of the European health insurance card (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.15), Commissioner Anna Diamantopoulou's spokesperson explained to the Press last Friday that the Commission had produced this document following consultation with Member States' health services.
