Brussels, 12/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - From 2 to 4 March, Brussels will host an international conference on trade in greenhouse gas emission licences - this flexible mechanism introduced by the Kyoto Protocol on climate change. Organised by EMA (Emissions Trading Marketing Association) with the financial backing of several partners (American Environmental Protection Agency, Edison Electric Institute, Eurelectric and the Centre for clean Air Policy), this conference will allow for a debate on the prospects for future emissions trading marketing, and help companies prepare for it. Ministers, experts, representatives of the European Commission and the International Energy Agency will be among the speakers.
