Brussels, 12/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission took a number of decisions concerning senior personnel:

Jonathan Faull from the United Kingdom is appointed Director-General for Justice and Home Affairs, replacing Adrian Fortescue, who becomes Adviser "Hors Classe". Jonathan Faull takes up his new post on 15 March;

Reijo Kemppinen from Finland becomes Commission spokesman;

Guy Crauser from Luxembourg currently Director General for Regional Policy, becomes Adviser "Hors Classe";

Michael Leigh from Britain is appointed Deputy Director-General for External Relations;
