Iraq, Middle East and bilateral relations at centre of Chris Patten's visit to Iran, Turkey and Lebanon - Turkish candidacy to EU

Brussels, 31/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Commissioner for External Relations Chris Patten will travel to Iran, Turkey and Lebanon next week. The objective of the trip, which begins Monday in Tehran and finishes Friday in Beirut, is to discuss international and regional developments, particularly the situation in Iraq and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
